Jeniya M.A.R.D. is an author from Metro Detroit. She believes in the good of everyone and everything and has a passion for the literary arts. A graduate of Central Michigan University, Jeniya studied English with a concentration in Creative Writing.
A teaching artist with InsideOut Literary Arts, Jeniya works in Detroit Public schools to help inspire and empower young people through the power of poetry and the written word.
Her writing has appeared in Sky Island Journal, Marrow Magazine, Artemis Journal, Corporeal Editions, Breakbread Literary Magazine, Five on the Fifth, and others. Her flash fiction piece “Catharsis” was nominated for the 2023 Pushcart Prize.
